For writers
Write a field note
The feed repeats what the press reports. Field Notes are for what the press does not have: what it was like from the inside, with the transaction to prove it. Sending one is free, and so is having it published.
What we publish
- Things you saw yourself. A sale you took part in, an airdrop you claimed, a contract you read, a listing you traded, a scam that caught you.
- With the proof linked. Transaction hashes, contract addresses, the notice, a screenshot with the date on it. A reader should be able to check you.
- With your position stated. If you hold the token, or anyone paid you, say so in the text.
- In your own words. Written by you and not published anywhere else.
Two kinds
- A report is the full account, in order, with the evidence. 250 words at least; the good ones run 500 to 1,000.
- A note is one thing you saw or checked. 150 words at least.
What we turn down
- Anything that tells readers to buy, hold or sell, and any price call.
- Promotion of a token, a presale or a project, and referral or affiliate links. Ads go on the advertising page, and not for token sales.
- Accusations with nothing to back them, private details of people, and leaked material.
- Text a model wrote and nobody checked.
What happens next
- You make a free account and write in the editor, which saves your draft as you type.
- An editor reads it, usually within two working days.
- It goes up, or comes back with a message. You can fix a returned note and send it again from your account page.
A published note carries your name. We may tighten the wording and change the headline. We will not change what you are saying without asking.
