Advertising terms
These terms cover every banner booked on Token News Network. “We” means the site and its publisher. “You” means the person or company booking. Sending the booking form with the box ticked means you accept them.
1. Rates
| Rate | Price | Run | Position | Swaps | Click count |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $50 | 2 days | In turn | None | At the end |
| Standard | $1,000 | 12 days | In turn | Two | Midpoint and end |
| Premier | $5,000 | 45 days | Ahead of the others | One a week | Weekly |
- Prices are in US dollars and buy one banner on the home page of this site.
- The home page has one banner position. When more than one banner is running, each visit sees one of them, and a Premier banner is shown ahead of a Starter or Standard one.
- A day is 24 hours. A run starts when the banner goes up, not when it is booked.
2. Booking and approval
- The booking form is a request, not a contract. A booking exists once we have approved your banner and its link by email and your payment is confirmed.
- We look at every banner, and the page it opens, before it runs. We may ask for changes or turn a banner down, and need not say why.
- We usually reply within two working days. A start date depends on the position being free.
3. Payment
- Payment is in cryptocurrency, in full, before the banner goes up. After approval we email the wallet address, the network and the exact amount.
- The amount is the dollar price converted at the rate on the day we send it. It holds for 48 hours, after which we may send a new figure.
- Network fees are yours. The amount that reaches us must equal the amount we asked for.
- Send only on the network named in our email. Coins sent to a wrong address or on a wrong network cannot be recovered, and we take no responsibility for them.
- Payment details come from us by email only, in the same thread as your booking. If anyone asks you to pay in our name through a chat app or a social network, do not pay, and tell us.
4. The banner
- 970 by 250 pixels, JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, 300 KB at most. No sound, no flashing, no fake buttons, system warnings or countdowns.
- One link per banner. Links are marked as sponsored and open in a new tab. A link may not pass the reader on to a site other than the one we approved.
- Every banner is shown under the word “Advertisement”.
- If your banner reaches us late, the run starts when it goes up. If it reaches us more than 14 days after payment, we may treat the booking as used.
- You own, or have permission to use, everything in the banner, including marks, photographs and names.
5. What we take, and what we refuse
- Taken: exchanges and brokers, wallets and custody, data and research tools, infrastructure and developer tools, audit and security firms, events, courses and communities.
- Refused: any banner for a token, a coin, a presale, a launchpad sale, an airdrop or a claim page, and anything that invites the reader to buy or receive a token.
- Refused: any promise or hint of a return, the words “guaranteed” or “risk free”, price targets, and trading signals or copy-trading groups.
- Refused: gambling, casinos and betting; mixers; wallet drainers, “recovery” services and anything that asks for a seed phrase or a private key.
- A business that needs a licence where its banner is seen, such as an exchange or a broker, must hold that licence and give us its number and the regulator's name when asked.
- Nothing that could be taken for this site's own reporting, and nothing unlawful in the place where it is shown.
6. Refunds and changes
- If we turn your banner down before it goes up, you owe nothing. Anything already paid goes back to the wallet it came from, less network fees.
- You may cancel before the banner goes up, with the same refund.
- Once a banner has gone up the fee is not returned, even if you ask us to take it down early.
- If the site is unavailable for more than 24 hours in a row during your run, we add the lost time at the end. That is the only remedy for downtime.
- We may take a banner down at once if it, or the page it opens, breaks these terms or the law, if a licence lapses, or if the page it opens is changed into something we did not approve. No refund is due in that case.
7. What you get, and what you do not
- You get the position and the number of days at the rate you picked.
- We promise no number of views, clicks, sign-ups or sales.
- Click counts come from our own records and are given for information.
- Advertising buys a banner. It buys no story and no mention, and gives you no say in what the feed carries, about you or anyone else.
8. Responsibility
- You answer for your banner, your offer and the page the banner opens, and for their being lawful wherever the banner is seen.
- If a regulator, a court or a third party brings a claim against us because of your banner or offer, you will meet our reasonable costs.
- Our whole liability on any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profit or any other indirect loss.
9. General
- We use the details in your booking only to deal with it, as set out in the privacy notice.
- These terms may change. The version on this page on the day your payment is confirmed is the one that applies to your booking.
- Questions about a booking go through the contact page.
