NBA Instagram Apparently Hacked, Briefly Promotes Crypto Memecoin
Yahoo Sports
The league's official Instagram account briefly displayed a post urging people to buy cryptocurrency. The post read: "Where basketball passion meets blockchain innovation. Join the community and explore $NBA today. BUY NOW!" It included a contract address for a memecoin created on Pump.fun, a platform where people can create and launch their own tokens. The NBA didn't immediately respond to a request for comment about the apparent hack, but the post didn't stay up for long, and it didn't reach that many willing buyers. The token, created on Wednesday, had a market cap of about $3,500 as of Wednesday evening. The league's social media accounts have been hacked before to launch a crypto coin, also called $NBA Coin.

A listing, a launch or an airdrop is not a reason to buy. Check the contract address on the project's own site. Never sign a transaction or hand over a seed phrase to claim anything.
